How To Treat Ear Canal Infection?

Hi
I have an ear canal infection I am told. I went to my Dr on Sat morning. He prescribed both ear drops and an antibiotic. It is now Monday morning. I have used the drops 3 times a day as instructed and taken the antibiotics as instructed. It has not improved at all. Infact I think it is more painfull now than 3 days ago. What do you think.?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Any antibiotic medicine takes some time to act so now medicine will star working and you may get relief from pain.
If there is abscess or pus formation then antibiotic may not give effect and then one has to drain pus or it might burst open and there will be relief.
Take Ibuprofen medicine to get relief from pain.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
