Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Took my son to the Dr. This morning. He is 22 months old. He was diagnosed with an ear infection, which he has had several times before. A couple of times he has had it in both ears and takes it in stride. This time is different. He seems as though he is in constant pain and will not stop sobbing and moaning. Seems to be worse when he stands up he grabs his head( not his ears) and says owie! At a loss and scared. Can t get a call back from his ped.
Hi, It seems that he might be having acute otitis media i.e. infection in middle ear giving rise this type of pain. He might require one antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course for 5-7 days. Consult your pediatrician and get examined. Ok and take care.
