How To Treat Ear Infection?

Dear Doctor, my son, 3 years old had last month an out ear infection and was treated with eardrops and an antibiotic. Now since 2 days he has pain again and I started neomycin drop 4 times a day yesterday. But this morning pus comes out. Can I continue the drops after cleaning gently the ear or does he needs an antibiotic again? We are flying this Friday and I am worried he will be in a lot of pain. Thank you. Ineke, Thailand.
