How To Treat Edema On Face And Jaw After Having Root Canal Surgery?

Hi, I had a root canal performed last Wednesday that initially went very well. The following day, I developed facial edema as well as edema along the jawline and was prescribed Clindamycin. I have spoken to the endodontist, who assures me this is normal...the edema hasnt gotten worse but I am concered about osteo...too many years as an ICU nurse maybe? I do not have fever or chills at this point.

Hi,
With the symptoms you mention it could simple inflammation due to surgical procedure..as you are already on antibiotics chances of infection are less likely...
Take phlogam or a combination of serratiopeptidase and diclofenac tablets if the swelling is more..
If you start having fever with chills then meet your doctor immediately..
