How To Treat Fever In A Kid?

Hello, I have given my daughter who is 8 approx 65 pd. Advil for children for fever-started yesterday late afternoon (temp was 102.5) per instructions on dosage on box according to her weight. I gave a dosage at 8 am, then 2 pm today, however I checked her temp just now and it was 101.4. What are your suggestions?

Dear friend,as far as your giving the child Advil is concerned you have done right thing.but as a clinical practitioner i would say the first thing you should do to your child is give her a cold sponge instead of giving any medicine.as now her temp is 101.4 it can be controlled by a cold sponge.because fever is not a disease but a symptom of disease.after you give cold sponge just wait for sometimes to let the body temparature to normal.i hope it will work.if still,the fever does not subside then you give her Advil according to her body weight.till then,my best wishes to your little one.thank you.
