Suggest treatment for fever My 20 months old boy baby got fever, for the past two days.I was giving ibugesic 4 ml thrice a day.bt the fever got reduced once the dosage was given and again slowly the temperature raises.I can feel the heat only on his head and his palms.on the first day he didn t hv any food ,but second day he had food and juice .even though he is active and playing am worried about this .please suggest Thanks
I would suggest you to continue with Ibugesic 6th hourly along with tepid sponging to bring down the temperature. You have not mentioned the temperature value. Fevers more than 101 are highly dangerous and should be treated immediately since it can lead to convulsions.
Kindly visit your pediatrician in case of high fever as i have mentioned above or fever for more than 3 days. Fever for more than 3 days should be investigated with blood tests to identify the cause.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
