hello sir,My hair thickness have been lost in the past years.i consulted many doctors .all of them told that the hair fall was normal .also took a blood test for checking thyroid.and there was thyroid problem.but now its quite normal. still my hairloss problem is not yet resolved.what should i do to regain my hair thickness?
Hello. Since your thyroid status has now been corrected, we can move on to other causes of hair fall starting from the commonest - nutritional. Zinc and Biotin deficiencies are known to cause hair loss. You can take a supplement for those. Next, if you are overweight, weight reduction would help too. In both males and females, too much of androgenic hormones cause hair loss, weight loss sometimes helps. If all these donot bring desired results then we may have to take medications for the same like minoxidil. Hope this helps. Regards, Dr Geeta
