How To Treat Hard Swollen Arm Due To Horse Fly Bite?

A horse fly bit me two days ago at our swimming pool and my arm is swollen like a golf ball, very hard, red, and very hot to the touch. It does not itch, but I tried hot compresses and allergy cream and it is not going down. Do I need to go to a doctor or can I wait and see if it improves?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, the horse fly must be having poison, which is allergic to your body.
Or the bite may be over a blood vessel, or a nerve, and cause the inflammation, and infection.
To prevent the spread of the infection you may need to have extensive treatment .
so i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment .
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms levocitrizine, montelekast, ofloxacin, ornidazole, serratiopeptidase, diclofenac, and paracetamol.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
