How To Treat Hardness Under The Skin Of The Thumb?

I smashed the bottom part of my thumb where it connects to the hand. the skin, or something under the skin is hard and thick almost like scar tissue about the size of a quarter, and it is numb it has been about 3 weeks wince it happened? should i have this looked at?

It may be callosity. Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Keratolytic ointment like salicylic acid ointment 6% may be applied. And avoid contact with hard surface responsible for the callosity.
