Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an 11 in hematoma on my knee. The doctors tried to drain it, but it produced very little blood. They told me that it will just take time but I ve had it for over a month. It is always warm to touch and does not appear to be decreasing in size. A blood test revealed there was no infection. Is there anything else that can be done?
It is necessary checking coagulation tests to help exclude a possible coagulation disorder. I would also recommend putting ice on it frequently. It will help stop the bleeding.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
