How To Treat Herniated Disc?

I recently had an MRI on my lower back for a suspected herniated disc. My doctor tells me there is no evidence of that, but there was a "density in my bone marrow" near my pelvis that they are concerned about. I am now being scheduled for a further "bone test" that will involve an injection and then a picture. My doctor did say there was nothing to indicate a malignancy, but did say that it may be a tumor of some sotrt. I am curious as to what other things are possible
