How To Treat High BP And Bad Cough?

I have high blood pressure and I am using Losartin/hctz--I find that I am coughing badly and I am stuffed up at night and I have a thick white phlem. The last ime I was on lisinopril and the same thing happened. Then they switched me to Benicar and I was ok--the doctor said Losartin is the same thing as benecar.

Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.
Cough caused by drugs like Lisinopril (ACE Inhibitors) are actually "DRY'.
Since you have expectoration , you need evaluation.
It might be a sign of Left Ventricular Failure if associated with breathlessness on lying down position.
Or it may be allergic or infective.
Get Tested , be sure.
Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion. If you wish to discuss the problem further with me , you may ask through section of PREMIUM query , directed on my name.
Stay Healthy.
