My child will be 3 years in August. He started school in June and since July he is suffering from hoarse voice. He suffers from cold quite offen. But now he does not have any cold still his voice shows not improvement. He is on montemac and Lanzole kids since then. His doc has also put him on Sapteline.
As per your history, your child is suffering from cold, mild fever and hoarseness of voice , so most probable diagnosis is LARYNGITIS. As all other symptoms went away, it is a good sign.
Hoarseness of voice is because of swelling or inflammation of vocal cords. So, it takes some time to reduce inflammation.
I will suggest you to give nebulization daily or steam inhalation. Give rest to voice. It helps to reduce swelling. Keep warm yourself and review here or consult with pediatrician if symptoms aggravates.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
