How To Treat Hormonal Imbalance Causing Miscarriages?

I've had 2 miscarriages in the past 6 months. First ended at 4 weeks and 2nd ended at 6 weeks. I believe it was due to hormone imbalance. I have horrible cramping from time to time, bloating, mood swings, facial hair, and breast tenderness 1 week prior to period. But i have pretty regular periods. and Both times have ovulated on or right around the 14th day. My doctor put me on birth contorl pills while i am waiting 3 months to "heal" for the hormone imbalance (which he said they are unbalanced). I'm not a fan or birth control, but i did start it two days ago. Does it sound like a good idea for me to be on birth control to blanace hormones while i want to have a baby. Should i try another route? And if i stay on birth control how do they stay balanced once i stop taking it?
