How To Treat Internal Swelling In Neck?

I have internal swelling on left side on neck about size of a small fist. I went to ER two weeks ago and the doctor didn t even look in my mouth or do any test just sent me home with script of antibiotics. The swelling is still there and it make swalling food difficult. I have been nauseated a lot also and run a slight temp at times.I have no health insurance. What can I do to get over this? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You deem to have inflammation in tonsil. Need to take anti-inflammatory pills along with that. In bronchitis patients we do add bronchi-dilators and even steroids in severe cases (to be decided by physician after physical examination and needful investigations) any ways. You can add tab. Ibugesic and tab. Derriphyllin along with antibiotic and cough syrup. Drink warm water. Take vapor inhalation. You should consult a chest physician for exact advice.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
