Hello,

Constipation can be treated as follows:
1) Eat fiber-rich foods, such as wheat bran, fresh fruits and vegetables, and oats. An average adult needs to get 25 to 31 grams of fiber per day.
2) Drink plenty of fluids daily — about 8 to 10 glasses (8 ounces) of noncaffeinated, nonalcoholic beverages throughout the day.
3) Exercise regularly.
4) Laxatives are as follows:
1) Oral osmotics (Phillips' Milk of Magnesia, MiraLAX). Draw water into the colon to allow easier passage of stool.
2) Oral bulk formers (Benefiber, Citrucel, FiberCon, Metamucil). Absorb water to form soft, bulky stool, prompting normal contraction of intestinal muscles.
3) Oral stool softeners (Colace, Surfak). Add moisture to stool to soften stool, allowing strain-free bowel movements.
4) Oral stimulants (Dulcolax, Senokot). Trigger rhythmic contractions of intestinal muscles to eliminate stool.
5) Rectal suppositories (Dulcolax, Pedia-Lax). Trigger rhythmic contractions of intestinal muscles and soften stool.

You can use any of the above laxatives for constipation. For gastric irritation, treatment is:
1) Tab. Pantop before food.
2) If bloating is severe, mix 1 sachet of OMEZ insta into a half glass of water and drink it for immediate relief.
3) Avoid lying or sleeping immediately after eating. At least 2 hours must be there between meals and sleep.
4) Avoid straining at stools.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
