General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The clomid helps with ovulation , this means it helps with the release of the 'eggs' from the ovary.

This would help with conception.

You should take the medication as prescribed by your doctor.

If you have a history of polycystic ovarian syndrome that is causing your irregular periods then weight loss would help with this and would improve your chance of conception.

I hope this helps
