How To Treat Itchiness Noticed In The Anal Region?

I am a 21 year old female very healthy..Over the past week I've had this itchiness coming from my anus area, which has been quite irritable. I've scratched and scratched and tried to stop scratching but sometimes it seems insatiable. I discovered this rash which I have posted pictures off coming from my anus... I am quite worried and don't know what it is or what I should do

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that itching in anus with a rash can be due to causes like:
-Rash can be commonly due to Herpes Zoster infection that is a viral infection while other causes can be:
-Poor hygiene maintenance,
-Over wiping or cleaning.
-Dryness in the anal area.
-Pinworm infection.
-Yeast infection.
-Contact dermatitis or allergic reaction etc..

As of now you should keep the area clean but avoid vigorous wiping..
Wash the area gently with water and a mild moisturiser based soap..
You should apply Zinc oxide based ointment or Petroleum jelly over the area..
Wear loose fitting and cotton undergarments..
You can also apply steroid ointment to relieve itching but do not use for a long duration for more than ten days to two weeks..
You should avoid scratching the area to prevent infection..
If still it does not improve consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and a proper diagnosis and treatment of underlying cause can relieve the symptoms..
In case of viral infection oral and topical antiviral medications like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir etc..
