Hello, and i hope I can help you today.

If you do not have adequate lubrication on your outside skin during manual stimulation, you can get chafed from rubbing on your vagina and your clitoris. This can cause some itching and burning just like a healing scrape on any other area of skin on your body. There is no reason to be concerned or suspect an STD as the cause of your symptoms in this situation.

So to help relieve the itching, applying an over-the-counter Hydrocortisone anti-itch cream (usually it is 1% Hydrocortisone, also can be used to treat itching and rashes on other areas of the body) twice daily until the itching improves.

To prevent this happening in the future, you and your partner may want to use an external lubricant during foreplay and masturbation. It will increase the sensation you both feel, as well as help prevent chafing and irritation.

I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown
