I got these larger mosquito size bumps on stomach while sleeping. This was over a week ago and it has been very hot at night. The bumps started iching horribly and then muliplied. They calm down then itch in heat more. They are spreading more and more. I have a couple around my hip and one under my front bra line. They act like mosquito bites but now don t look like it. They are getting wider in spread. They itch like poison ivy but it is positive I have not been in it. And I will blister bad because I have had that many times. I put triple anit boitic cream on and they stay bright red. I want to get rid of them. Please help.
Your symptoms could be allergic reaction to insect bite. You need to visit your doctor for a clinical examination and further treatment. Injectable antihistamines and steroids should be given to control the rashes and itching, after which you may have to take the drugs orally for few days.
Any history of fever or similar rashes in your family should be ruled out. Disinfect your room and all your bed sheets to remove any insects or pests.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
