How To Treat Itchy Skin?

hi, my stepdaughter is 5 and the past couple months, has been dealing with very itchy skin. she is only at our house every other weekend, but the last week, myself and my daughter who is 3 have started itching also. her mother took her to the doctor and said a prescription cream was given. i asked her today what the name of the cream was because i m taking my daughter in to be seen by her own doctor, and i figured he d want to know, but she won t tell my husband and i what it was. she got defensive and wanted to know why we needed to know. all she said was it was a one-time application and she didn t remember the name because she threw it away after it was used. the only medication that i can find which is a one-time treatment is for scabies...is there any other ones that might be used for treating eczema? i m worried we got scabies from her and that our itching is related to her issue

Hi,

As per your query your grand daughter have symptoms of itchy skin which occurs due to infection of hair follicles leading to folliculitis. It could be due to allergic reaction as well.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to make use of product containing benzoyl peroxide. Take Multivitamin supplements. Apply topical antibacterial ointment such as mupirocin and do yoga and meditation daily.

Drink plenty of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Also wash your face with mild soap and cold water twice a day and apply aloe vera gel.

If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist once and start treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
