General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to kidney stone.
The painkillers that he is using are specific for kidney stones pain,so I don't think that he should change them.
I recommend to drink a lot of liquids and try to pass the stones due to the fact that they are small stones.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
