How To Treat Labyrinthitis Inspite Of Taking Betahistine?

I have a deviated septum whereby the right nasal passage is completely blocked causing ETD and post nasal drip. In addition, I have TMJ. Following an ear infection, i.e. labyrinthitis I am suffering from dizziness or light-headedness that is only triggered when walking for more than 2 minutes. I have never had any issues before. The infection has cleared, and betahistine have no affect. Could the motion of walking be triggering the dizziness as I do not think it is anxiety related?

Hello,

Your symptoms are related to the inner ear infection. For this reason, the dizziness is triggered by head and neck movements. Coming to this point, I would recommend taking meclizine or dimenhydrinate to help improve your situation. You should discuss with your doctor on the above treatment options.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
