How To Treat Liquid Discharge From Ear Ring Hole?

Everytime I take out my earrings, a liquid or puss discharges from my earring hole. It dries pretty quickly and hard to get off. I've had it for a while and over time it wrinkles up my ear lobe which is not very appealing. What could it be and what could I do to treat it?

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of Allergic contact dermatitis to the metallic part of the earring(?nickel) with secondary bacterial infection.

I would suggest that you take a course of an oral antibiotic e.g Amoxycillin or Cefadroxil, for a week. That would take care of the infection and pus discharge.

A topical steroid+antibiotic ointment (fluticasone+mupirocin ointment), twice daily for a week, can be applied.
