How To Treat Lower Abdominal Pain During Urination Post Appendectomy?
my 7 year old daughter had an appendectomy 2 weeks ago, and she continues to have sharp pains on her right side just prior to urinating, which goes away slowly after urinating. Also has burning during urination. Fine in between. She had a urine test done 3 days ago, came back negative. Any ideas of what might be wrong??

Hello,
The abdominal pain post appendectomy can be related to the presence fo gas in the intestine.
I suggest using an anti inflammatory medication such as Tylenol to relieve the pain.
I also suggest to give her liquids and especially cranberry juice.
