How To Treat Major Depression In A Middle Aged Individual?

Could you please ease tell me where to start with My stepson He has been going through major depression for the past year but we just found out about it this past Christmas He quit his job, has no income and does not have any health Insurance. He is 42 years old what can we do as far as getting him help we don't have the money to pay for Psychiatric services,

In such a case, it is advisable that he gets professional help. He will first need a detailed evaluation to arrive at the correct diagnosis so that further treatment can be planned.

It is important that he is seen by a doctor and evaluated properly before any treatment is started. If you can't afford psychiatric services, then you can take him to a GP for further evaluation and treatment. Effective treatment is available in the form of medication and psychological therapies.
