I ve been bleeding on and off for almost 2 months. I went to my family Doctor and put me on Primolut N. Even thou I was taking these pills nothing seemed to change, except I started to have back pain and cramps. After being on Primolut for almost 3 weeks. I went back to my family doctor asking to be refered to a local Gynecologist. I made an appointment and was lucky enough to see her the next day. After general questions and examination. She gave me 3 repeats of prescription of Primolut N to stop the bleeding and a prescription for the Pill to start my period in a regular cycle and too see her back in 6 weeks of being on the Pill . That same day I did blood tests and had a referal for an internal scan for when I stop bleeding. All she sed could be possible PCOS for being overweight. I have to do hormones test next time I see her. I am also on Iron suppletments So now being on Primolut N for a month. I still find I am bleeding on and off. Just recently I woke up in the middle of the night with cramps I was also wet and thought I had urinated myself in my sleep. I got up to go to the toilet to find my underwear and pjs were covered in blood. I had a shower, put a pad on went back to sleep. I woke up in 3 hours my pad was full with little clots and big clots and this time the cramps were worse. I thought having a long hot shower would help for awhile. Too my supprise my vagina was hurting and for some reason I just Pushed . I felt a long, thick sluggish mass come out. I looked on the ground and there was a large sluggish clot, I don t even think you could call it a clot because it was the size of half my palm. It was dark red with grey vain look ends. My question is what was it? could it have been a miscarriage? should I see a different gynecologist? Am I suppose to get my period while on Primolut N? Should I talk to my gynecologist about this? Can I still exercise? Can I use the duromine to help lose weight?
I would suggest you to visit your gynaecologist if bleeding continues more than 7 days since excess bleeding with clots can cause weakness and anemia. Pelvic ultrasound and hormonal levels should be checked.Complete blood count and thyroid function test should also be taken. Antifibrinolytics may be required in oral or injectable form. Hypothyroidism or Autoimmune thyroiditis should be treated if present.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
