How To Treat Menstrual Irregularity?

Hello Dr. Manjunath, There was an irregularity in my periods after taking an i-pill and due to some personel reasons i had to postpone my periods n took promolet-N tablet. Now my periods are due even after stopping the postpone tablets. Request your valuable advise.

Hi,

I think that the first thing that is required for this condition is a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. I would suggest you to take iron folic acid tablet for 1 month, if the urine pregnancy test comes negative start medroxyprogesterone (10 mg twice daily) tablet for 5 days.
