Last month I got my periods twice for the first time (unmarried). So I visited gynacologist and she prescribed me SYSRON N for 1 month and after completion of the course she said my periods will start...On the first day of my periods she asked me to take FEMILON and said that my periods will stop. But my concern is today is my fourth day but still its bleeding. Can you tell me whether it is normal or should I have to consult doctor again?

Hi

You can wait for three more days since the hormonal pills can take a week to become effective.

You need to contact your doctor incase of heavy bleeding with clots or bleeding more than seven days inorder to avoid excess blood loss.
