Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In the morning, my teeth and jar are in alignment. then throughout the day my lower jar slowly gets out of alignment to the point I can t put my teeth together. my upper front teeth are directly above my lower front teeth. I was in a rear end car accident a couple of weeks ago.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that due to rear end car accident there have been traumatic injury to the jaw joint and it has led to jaw joint dislocation leading to forward movement of the lower jaw which is leading to end to end contact of the teeth and it is causing misaligned jaws and teeth..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Panoromic x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised treatments like manual alignment of the jaws, wearing mouth splints or mouth guards a d physiotherapy. In case of no improvement surgical correction can be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
