How To Treat Numbness, Burning And Tingling In Leg?

I honestly don t know if I got bitten by anything, but I went for a walk through the woods and now my left leg is kinda numb, burning, and very tingly. I immediately took a shower when I got home and put some itching cream on the area but its not helping. Is there anything else I can do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Numbness, burning and tingling in the leg after being bitten is indicative of toxic reaction to spider or insect bite. Wash the area thoroughly and remove any stingers if visible. Take antihistamines, one SOS when required to ease discomfort. Take Combiflam or Acetaminophen or naproxen, one SOS to reduce pain, inflammation and redness.

It may take 24-48 hours to get reduced. However, if you experience intense pain, fever, chills, spasms, swelling lips, difficulty breathing, convulsions, etc., you should go to ER and get clinically examined. You may need urgent medical support.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
