Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Your father had knee replacement ,and is on amlodepine, and bisoprolol. He had edema ,and heart failure, which may be due to the medicines of surgery, amlodepine, etc.
The amlodepine has the edema cauising factor, that is why they have stopped those drugs, and he would have added some thing else.
If edema is more, you have to use the hydrochlorthiazide, he would have added it already.
You have to minimize the surgery drugs to get relief from the edema, with the advise of your orthopedic surgeon.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
