General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the sudden onset of pain and burning in the knee and foot may be related to neurologic component of underlying inflammatory response most likely.

* There are various possible reasons for neuropathy related issues, common one beiing

- diabetes

- peripheral arterial disease

- chronic atherosclerosis conditions

- smoking related

- others

* In my clinic, I do recommend

- analgesic as tramadol hydrochloride with acetaminophen
- neurologic properties of pregabaline and methylcobalamine
- beta blockers as propranolol if not contraindicated from cardio respiratory system wise
- assisted physiotherapy
- control of blood pressure, body weight, cholesterol and sugar levels
- sessation of smoking if involved.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
