General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your complaints of painful legs now turning numb too suggest it to be nerve pain. Nerve irritation or compression at lumbosachlar level or pelvic level can cause it. Detailed examination by an orthopedic surgeon followed by MRI or CT Scan if needful would pin point the cause, followed by specific management (medicines, local injection, physiotherapy or surgery in few cases.)
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
