General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Pain and tightness in the chest is commonly due to developing coronary artery disease, angina, symptoms of heart attack, MI, etc. However, it can also be due to acid reflux, GERD, etc. You are suggested to take antacids, PPIs, plenty of water to get relief. Stay well hydrated, avoid taking food that trigger formation of gas as it will trigger acid reflux.

Avoid trans fat, full fatty dairy products, refined flour, junk food, etc. Take food rich in fiber. Avoid constipation. Take laxatives at bed time. You are suggested to repeat routine tests after a couple of days. If obese, lose weight. Stay active, do exercises and walking.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
