How To Treat Pain And White Discharge From Tonsils?

Hi , I have been having pain in my tonsils. The left one looks as if it has a hole in it . I ve also been getting white things coming out and they smell bad. It s been more than a week and it really staring to hurt . It feels like I have something stuck in my throat an I keep coughing trying to relieve the feeling . Not helping . I don t know when people get their tonsils out , but I am seriously thinking about it . It s do irritating . I don t know what to do.cant sleep at night .

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the pain and white discharge from the tonsil is concerned, it can be because of the tonsillar or peritonsillar abscess. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician or ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use a course of antibiotics like amoxycillin and metronidazole (if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling. Do not worry about getting the tonsil removed. First you can take these medicines, once it reoccurs then you can think of it.
