Hi my family and I had a car accident yesterday and my x husband and I hurt our backs a little and then I came home and hit my head with the side of the medicine cabinet .I didn t pass out or feel faint or naseous or anything but it hurts .I ve been taking ibuprofen and iced it last night .my face just started feel a little tingly a few mins ago . I m going to see a doctor tomorrow I don t know if I need a CT scan or anything else ?
The pain and tingling sensation as mentioned in your post are due to the impact as well as accumulation of fluid & blood. Since you have not experienced any other associated symptoms like fever, vomiting, dizziness, loss of consciousness, convulsions, etc., any intra-cranial pathology may not be suspected. However, a proper clinical+ radiological (like CT scan) evaluation will be needed to rule out any pathological cause for symptoms.
Till that time, symptomatic relief is obtained by analgesics preparations (like paracetamol or ibuprofen), ice compression & adequate rest.
Maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status. There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
