General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello..
i have gone through your query and understand your concern. the shooting pain in your lower back and leg is due to your fall from stairs. sometimes, this would lead to a simple muscle cramping without any fracture of hip bone.
If a similar patient comes into my clinic, i would suggest some painkillers like hifena-p (aceclofenac+paracetamol) for one week and ask my patient to get an xray of pelvis (hip bone). So i would suggest you consult an orthopedician and get an xray. if the xray doesnt show any signs of fracture then you might continue the medication prescribed by your treating doctor. hope my answer helped. in case of any doubts, please feel free to write back i would be happy to help you. have a good health.
