How To Treat Pain In Quadriceps Caused Due To Physical Activity?

Last week i played football and I hurt my quadriceps soo badly, Ive been resting it for a whole week, today I have football match and was wondering if I could play (since ive been resting it for a whole week, but I still feel pain)A promt reply would really really help me.thank you
