How To Treat Painful Pop Of Chest While Coughing?

I am a 24 y/o female. In the last month I have noticed a popping (for lack of better words) on the right side of my chest. The popping occurs when I cough and laugh. I would consider it a mild-moderate sharp pain when it pops. Is this something I should be concerned about. I am in excellent health but you should note that I was involved in a MVA 2 months ago; I don't feel like it is due to the accident, though.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. If you are having a continuos cough for more than 2 weeks then better to rule out TB by doing a sputum AFB test and a chest X ray.If you are fine on that then your condition is most likely costochondritis. For such condition i usually treat my patients with antiinflammatory gels like nimusulide or diclofenac for local application. For some i give the same drugs as oral also.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
