How To Treat Painful Swelling And Clogged Ears Caused By Oiling?
I was trying to get rid of what felt like there was water in my ear so I used warm garlic olive oil. However the oil felt fine on my finger but was shockingly hot so I immediately turned my head after the shock to get the oil out.I’m not in pain my ear just feels more blocked maybe it’s swollen how would I know if the oil,caused damage to my ear

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
May be it irritated your ear mucosa and cause pain and warm sensation.
Pouring any thing into ear is not healthy. You don't know your tympanic membrane is intact or not so.
Use water vapor inhalation, avoid cool drinks.
Please consult your ENT specialist he will do endoscopy of ear and treat you accordingly.
