Hi, I recently have discovered a small lump near my groin early last week, and has grown in size. The lump was sensitive for a day, but now it is painless but is still there. The size of the lump is about the size of a lima bean. I also had a very bad cold, possibly the flu also starting early last week. I'm not sure which one came first. Should I be worried about this lump, or should I expect it to slowly go away as my flu goes away?
At this point of time, you could watch the lump. This most likely is an inflammation of a lymph node , which could happen in viral infections. If this lump persists more than a month than this needs to be evaluated for any tumor(Like Lymphoma, Tumor deposits from another site).
