How To Treat Paralysis On Left Side Of Body Due To Brain Stroke?

My father had a brain stroke 9 months ago. He is under the allopathy treatment. His left side is paralysed(hand and leg). He can walk slowly with the help of others. But he can not get up on his own and also can not sit for a longer time without support. Will there be recovery or he will remain in this state only?
