How To Treat Persistent Cough And Pain During Swallowing?

I have pain in collarbone when i swallow. Have had a sore throat for months. Cough when i feel flem build up in my throat but dont have a consistent cough. Have read about GERD and it strikes me eerily similar but what do i know, im certainly no doctor. I am 25 years old, 6ft 165lbs.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query, you have symptoms of persistent cough and pain during swallowing which is impairing your immunity and this could be due to granular pharyngitis. It could be due to gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Need not to worry about it. Visit pulmonologist once and get it examined. These symptoms normally take 3 days to go. If the cough is exaggerating go for chest X-ray, blood and sputum test. If it is bacterial infection start with a proper course of antibiotics. Till then give crocin 4 hourly. Apply mist humidifiers in the room. Take proper rest without any discomfort. Take water after every few mins.
