How To Treat Pressure Inserted By Couple Of Ball Of Feet When On Floor?

It seems that a couple of sections of the ball of my feet are pressing against the floor surface harder than the other ball joints. I remember using a tear drop pad once placed just aft of the area pressing down and after a couple of weeks it seemed better. Now I have two on each foot and am not sure what to do.
