Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that due to injury there has been inflamed soft tissues and black eye seems to be due to ruptured blood vessels leading to accumulation of blood vessels around the soft tissues of the eye..

Puffiness seems to be due to accumulation of the inflammatory fluid in the area of injury as well as blood and it can take a longer time to disintegrate..
The hard knot seems to be due to Hematoma formation and at times the hematoma gets encapsulated and becomes firm and takes a longer time resolve..

I would suggest you to consult a General Physician and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and if required he can do an x ray of the area.
As of now you can do alternate warm and cool compresses over the puffy areas as well as the lump..
Apply Heparin gel as it helps in disintegration of the blood, but apply it away from eye..

Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
