ok so my grandma has a pulmonary embolism, she got it a year ago. My question is would it be ok for her to smoke pot in her condition? I only ask cause it was legalized in our state this year and shes in pain and doesnt like to take pain pills all the time and wants to try something else..
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your grand mother 's situation and problem. No she should not smoke pot just for relief of pain. Pulmonary embolism is very serious lung disease. It can recur and chances of recurrence are high in smokers. So better not to give her pot smoking. You can discuss with her doctor about centrally acting painkiller. It is having excellent effects on pain suppression. So better not to give her pot smoking. Hope I have solved your query. Wishing good health to your grand mother. Thanks.
