How To Treat Pus Formation After Rod Implantation?

hi doctor i was operated 3 month back for elbow humorues fracture , rod was inserted in my hand ,after month i was again operated due to development of pus ,when checked with my surgeon he says layer is formed by germs which was entired while my accident(wound was there)&hence pus will be there until rod is there , he is giving linox600 tablet to subside the same, last week when i went for check up he shifted for lower dose but on sunday again there was symptom of pus for which when agin i visited doctor he told to restart taking linox600 my question is what we should do now?
