How To Treat Redness And Liquid Discharge From Muscle Below Thumb Due To Ripping?

I'm a 20 year old male college student, i accidently shot myself in the hand below the thumb on the muscle with a pressure washer and rippped the skin off about 2 inches in diameter. I dont have any insurance, but i went to the immediate care about 4 weeks ago. It still looks very red and weeps alot. is this normal?
