How To Treat Ridges In The Nail Caused Due To An Injury?

I have a nail that is sunken vertically. My brother had slammed this finger in the car door when I was 4 years old. I am now 55 years old. I was wondering if that is the reason it has now sunken in. This is the only nail that is sunken in. Thank you.
